According to a statement from the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office, 38-year-old Jordan Dupree Collins Sr. was arrested Monday. He is being held in the Anoka County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder. He has not yet been charged.

Jordan “Manny” Collins Jr. was reported missing in Columbia Heights in early May. Local police, the sheriff’s office, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Federal Bureau of Investigation took part in the search for the teen, saying they believed Manny’s disappearance was against his will.

Authorities announced last week that they had found human remains — identified as Manny Collins — in an Elk River landfill.

Anoka County Sheriff Brad Wise said hundreds of searchers helped locate the teen’s remains over the weekslong search.

The sheriff’s office said Manny’s death remains under investigation.
