ISIS has begun reactivating its fighters in both Syria and Iraq, reports Reuters on Thursday, citing over 20 sources including security and political officials from Syria, Iraq, the US, Europe, and regional diplomats.
The sources revealed that the group is identifying targets, distributing weapons, and ramping up recruitment and propaganda efforts. Security officials in both countries confirmed these renewed activities have already led to the foiling of at least a dozen major ISIS plots this year.
