[We would be remiss if we did not point out to users of this service that, during his lifetime, the Rebbe would frequently point out to people requesting blessings that it is proper to increase in one's observance of the Torah and its commandments.
Some of the mitzvot the Rebbe would point to include: Tefillin and Mezuzah (-- the Rebbe would often urge people to have their Tefillin and Mezuzahs checked by a competent scribe), Family Purity, daily Charity (besides Shabbat and major Jewish holidays), Lighting Shabbat and holiday candles, for men to put on tefillin daily (besides Shabbat and major Jewish holidays), to increase in study of Torah and more.
