Minneapolis police are investigating another rash of vehicle break-ins — at least 125 in a single night this week.
That happened late Monday into early Tuesday, in both northeast and south Minneapolis. Police said they received reports of broken vehicle windows occurring in groups — multiple reports from the same block.
Last month, police in Minneapolis and Bloomington responded to a spree of more than 100 vehicle break-ins.
There were no arrests in the vandalism at last report.
“Investigators continue to process available evidence and are actively pursuing leads. They are also working to determine if any of the sprees are connected,” Minneapolis police reported Wednesday. “MPD has crime and intelligence analysts actively monitoring the trend and sharing information with neighboring jurisdictions.”
Authorities are urging people to call 911 immediately if they see suspicious activity in their neighborhood. They’re also asking people to check security or doorbell cameras for footage that might help investigators. And they say to not leave valuables in cars.
