Law enforcement in Bloomington and Minneapolis say they are trying to figure out who vandalized more than 100 vehicles in those cities recently.
Bloomington Police said 40 vehicles were damaged in two hotel parking lots sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.
They said windows were broken and possessions were taken.
Officials in Minneapolis said they responded to reports that more than 70 vehicles were vandalized in southeast and southwest sections of the city.
They said they're looking for any information anyone has, especially surveillance camera recordings that may help shed light on the vandalism.
Minneapolis police also say they are conducting extra patrols where vehicles were damaged there. MPD also recommends calling 911 or 311 to report if your car has been vandalized recently.
Police are trying to determine if there are links between this series of break-ins and another that occurred earlier this month, between July 14-16.
Bloomington police said they have not confirmed if the vandalism there is linked to the Minneapolis vandalism.
