A small plane traveling from Iowa to Minnesota crashed Saturday in a residential area of a Minneapolis suburb, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
Brooklyn Park fire officials said there were no survivors on the plane, and they did not know how many people were aboard.
The crash ignited a fire in a home at 10792 Kyle Avenue, but no one was injured and the fire was extinguished in an hour.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the single-engine SOCATA TBM7 plane departed from the Des Moines International Airport with a destination of the Anoka County-Blaine Airport, located in another Minneapolis suburb.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating.
