Yvette Hoffman, who along with her husband, state Sen. John Hoffman, was shot nearly a week ago, is no longer hospitalized.
Earlier in the day, Gov. Tim Walz told media at a Juneteenth event that he got word Yvette Hoffman would be released Thursday.
No specific update was provided on John Hoffman's condition, but he was said to be recovering.
Prosecutors have charged Vance Boelter with attempting to kill the Hoffmans in their Champlin home. Federal investigators allege Boelter told the Hoffmans he was a police officer before he opened fire when they recognized that he wasn’t law enforcement. Both Hoffmans were shot multiple times.
Boelter is also charged in the killing of former House speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark the same day the Hoffmans were shot.
At the same event Thursday, Walz also said the Hortman family was continuing to work on memorial arrangements. Mourners attended a candlelight vigil for them at the Minnesota Capitol steps Wednesday evening.
